Care Tips
Fine jewelry needs to be cared for Regular at home cleaning and inspecting of all of your valuable jewelry pieces should be done routinely. Kamni recommends at home cleaning of your engagement ring every 2 weeks.
At-Home Cleaning:
Between professional cleanings, most jewelry can be maintained at home using a mixture of warm water and mild dishwashing liquid. To loosen those bits of dried lotion, food, dirt and any other everyday occurrences you may have acquired along the way, gently clean your diamond and setting with a soft, clean toothbrush.
-
Items Needed:
- Soft bristle toothbrush
- Dish soap
- Water
- Fill up a cup with warm water & dish soap - mix.
- Soak for 15-20 minutes.
- Lightly scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush all over but especially under your main diamond. (diamonds are strong, you can lightly scrub over the smalls diamonds as well)
- Rinse with warm water (we recommend having a cup of water to rinse it in to avoid it from falling into the drain of your sink.)
- Air dry.
Preventative Maintenance:
Have your jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected every 9-15 months. These inspections help prevent the loss of diamonds caused by normal wear and tear or damage. Maintenance is also suggested in the event your ring has undergone some form of trauma such as being dropped or hit against a hard surface.
Our wedding bands and engagement rings come with complimentary annual cleanings and inspections for the life of the product.
